About Spring: dates and questions
Astronomical spring begins at the March equinox, around March 19 to 21, when day and night are roughly equal everywhere. This countdown runs to the exact moment of the equinox, worked out from the Earth’s orbit, shown in your own time zone.
This is spring in the Northern Hemisphere; south of the equator, the March equinox starts autumn.
